A destination in demand all throughout the season, Goa is home to some of the best beaches the country has to offer. While the South of Goa has beaches that are less discovered and serene, the North of Goa houses the more popular ones. Here is a countdown of the top beaches to visit in the North of Goa to make your trip an unforgettable and adventurous one.

1. Arambol beach

Considered to be one of the most beautiful beaches in Goa, Arambol borders the Keri Beach at one end and Mandrem Beach to the other. This beach is huddled with shacks, live music gigs and vibrant nightlife. The Tribal Dance Festival and the Indian Juggling Convention are the two most significant events witnessed at this beach. Watersports are a huge hit at the Arambol beach, and if you're not into that you can simply just take a stroll down the less busy coast. The Paliem sweet water lake is a short distance from the beach and is definitely a must visit on a trip to the beach. All in all, this beach gives you an experience like no other, serene and beautiful.

2. Siridao beach

Located at the mouth of the Zuari river, this beach is very popular for its coarse sand that holds numerous sea shells. One can come across a wide variety of oysters and pearl shells at the beach. Adorning the coast of this beach are also a bunch of spooky caves that are camouflaged by the huge boulders of rock distributed throughout the coast. Another attraction is 'The Chapel of Jesus of Nazareth' and is situated atop a hill, right on the Siridao Beach. This beach is relatively more quiet and clean compared to the other popular beaches in Goa as there aren't many hotels or shacks located here. However, because of this one must be very careful when going for a swim because of the danger the submerged rocks pose to those unfamiliar with the place.
